LACONIA — Prescott Farm is excited to be offering a variety of workshops this fall starting September 29. From Smoothies 101 to Paint Evening at the Farm, we have something for everyone! Join us for one or all and learn how you can gain knowledge in leading a healthier lifestyle, skills to create your own homemade masterpieces and much more.

Chellsey Latham, Owner of Natural Roots and Remedies will start our workshops off with Smoothies 101 on September 29th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Those that attend will learn all about different superfoods and ingredient combining for a wholesome blend. Bring the family along and be ready to try some samples and take home some great recipes!

Other workshops to keep an eye out for this fall include Make Your Own Soap, RAW Dairy, Basic Woodcarving, Kimchi and Sauerkraut, Preparing for Winter with Herbs, Hard Cider, Beer, and Mead Making and last but not least Art, Nature and Yoga. Most of these workshops take place during a week night, but some do take place on Saturday mornings.

Prescott Farm is a non-profit organization that offers environmental education for all ages throughout the year including WildQuest camps, public programs, field trips, and long-term partnerships with local elementary schools. The 160 acre historic family farm features woodland and field trails, a "green" building with geothermal and solar energy systems, historic barns, an old-fashioned maple sugaring operation (during the month of March), heritage gardens, and forested pond.
