Evangelical Baptist Church in co-operation with the American Red Cross will be holding a Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 between the hours of 3:00and 7:00 p.m. at the church, which is located at 12 Veterans Square in Laconia. The Drive is being held during this time frame in the hope that people who normally can’t donate due to work obligations will take advantage of this “after hours” opportunity. Each presenting volunteer donor will receive a Red Cross T-shirt. There will be reserved parking for donors along the street in front of the church.

“The Red Cross was very pleased with the response we experienced at our first blood drive in November of 2004," said Bob Bryant, assistant pastor of the church."We are hopeful that the community will once again step up to the plate and take the time and make the effort to donate blood. There are few thingswe do that have such great potential to make a difference in another person’s life, perhaps even saving their life.”

Donors must be at least 17 years of age and must possess a valid photo ID in order to donate. Further information regarding donor restrictions can be found at the American Red Cross’s website, www.redcross.org. Information regarding this particular blood drive may be obtained by contacting the church office at 524-2277.
