CENTER HARBOR — The local chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ellacoya Chapter #43, recently presented a check for $673 to Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc.

"We are very grateful for this generous donation raised by our local Eastern Star organization," stated ICCI Executive Director, Ann Sprague. "We appreciate our being selected as the local charity to receive the proceeds from their recent fundraising event."

The recent Craft and Pie Sale, held on a cold and windy day in November, was the first sponsored by the Ellacoya Chapter. The Chapter expressed thanks to all the vendors and patrons who supported the event and, due to its success, is planning to hold this event again next year. Other popular events sponsored by their members are the bean suppers held every month from April through November which the public is invited to attend.

The Order, as part of the Masonic Family, is composed of women and men who have a Masonic relationship and also supports the youth organizations, Rainbow and DeMolay.
