While autumn's colors are gleaming, it's time to plant for spring color and start preparing yards for next summer. Belknap County Conservation District's Annual Bulb and Yard Care Sale Friday, October 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at 719 N. Main St. (across from the Laconia Clinic). In addition to 30 types of spring blooming bulbs, there will be rodent repellent, composters, and kitchen pails to collect items for composting, and pre-bagged NH compost. In addition there will be books on outwitting deer, nature guides, T-shirts and more.
