The Centre Harbor Historical Society will meet Thursday, August 28 at 7 p.m. at the Schoolhouse Museum, 94 Dane Road (25B). Captain Jim Morash will be speaking about his experiences of 30 years working on 'The Mount'. He has done it all from deck hand to part owner.
The M/S Mount Washington embodies what the Lakes Region is all about. As you know, Center Harbor is home of the vessel, as it's winter quarters, so it has special meaning to the town. If you have questions, here is the place to get the answers. There also will be pictures of the past and present, offering a look into Lake Winnipesaukee's history.
After the program refreshments will be served. Visitors are always welcome and every program is free to the public. Visit us on the web atwww.chhistory.com
The Schoolhouse Museum will be open Saturdays in August from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone 254-6746 for additional information.
