BELMONT – Members of the Belmont High School (BHS) chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) are busy at work preparing for their 9th Annual Holiday Fair, to be held at the school on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 100 crafters and vendors will fill the gymnasium, cafeteria, and band room, offering a wide variety of hand-made and holiday gift items.

The FBLA students will be hosting a large raffle as well, including hand-made items from vendors, as well as donations from local businesses. A wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack items will also be offered by members of FBLA, the French Club, and the Booster Club.

Approximately 2,000 shoppers were in attendance at last year's fair, and students are hopeful that this year's fair will be a record breaker!

Senior Hannah Leger is excited to participate in her third holiday fair. "This fair has a huge impact on our FBLA members. We spend a lot of our time preparing and organizing for this big day," she said. "Although, I'm sad because this is my last year being involved, I am excited to make it the best fair yet!"

Part of the mission of the FBLA chapter at BHS is to give back to their community, so the students will be collecting canned goods for the Mix 94.1 (radio) Cash and Cans Drive. St. Joseph's Food Pantry in Belmont is a beneficiary of this great local program. Fred Caruso will also be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. selling Cash and Cans calendars.

In addition to the Cash and Cans Drive, proceeds from the fair will be used to support other local charities during the holidays, including the Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction. Proceeds also help FBLA students to attend NH-FBLA leadership conferences and competitions.

The fair is at vendor capacity, but vendors wishing to be added to the database to receive information for next year's holiday fair can email their contact information and what they offer to the students at bhsholidayfair@gmail.com.
