MEREDITH — Memorial Day at Hesky Park After Library Ceremony hosts "Year of the Woman."Â
This year, women who have served or are serving in the Military, are asked to speak on behalf of their service and honor and remembrance.
Memorial Day, once also known as Decoration Day is a day to remember family members who have gone on but in Hesky Park at "The Rock" home of the Orignal POW/MIA Memorial. This year we’re asking those Women who have served this country or are serving and may be home, to join with us in the Park to share when, where, and whom they served with, along with a memory of honor and remembrance of this special day having to do with their service time. At this time two women, both served as Corpsman during different eras, will join in. If you wish to join this special woman’s Memorial Day tribute, email Bob Jones @ corpmanrcj@comcast.net.
