WOLFEBORO — Lisa Scott, Register of Deeds for Carroll County, will present a program on how to access and use deeds in family research on Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wolfeboro Public Library. The program, sponsored by the Lakes Region Genealogy Interest Group and the Wolfeboro Public Library, is free and open to all.
Registry records, together with Probate records, reveal family connections for those who own or have owned real estate. Such information can be invaluable when doing genealogical research. And, as all are public record, anyone with a desire can search if they have the know-how. Scott will share her expertise in accessing these records and provide guidance in how to best utilize the tools and resources available.
The Lakes Region Genealogy Interest Group is free and open to the public for all those with an interest in genealogy, beginner or professional. Monthly meeting schedules can be found on the library website. For more information call Cindy Scott at the Wolfeboro Public Library at 603-569-2428.
