WOLFEBORO — The Wolfeboro Friends of Music present an autumn double bill on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at Brewster Academy's Anderson Hall. The Barefoot Movement will perform along with Cold Chocolate.
Since 2011, progressive acoustic band The Barefoot Movement has been recording and touring internationally, winning the 2014 IBMA momentum award. The band integrates bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, country and pop into music that’s delightfully fresh. Shows feature original songs and reimagined cover tunes with tight three-part harmonies and hot instrumentals.
Cold Chocolate is an acoustic powerhouse duo, a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk and bluegrass to create a unique sound all their own. Led by Ethan Robbins (vocals/guitar/mandolin) and Ariel Bernstein (vocals/percussion/banjo), the Boston-based duo released their sixth full-length album this past winter. Punctuated by tight harmonies and skillful musicianship, Cold Chocolate has quickly gained regional and national recognition for their original music and compelling high-energy concert performances.
The Wolfeboro Friends of Music shares a 91-year commitment to important traditions in American music and this double bill is an expression of their artistic DNA.
Tickets are available at wolfeborofriendsofmusic.org, at the door on the day of the concert, or by calling 603-651-9163.
