MEREDITH — The Winnipesaukee Playhouse will once again partner with local watercolor artist Dr. Marc Bard to present the 7th annual Paintings for a Purpose Art Show this July, inviting the community to experience and support a meaningful blend of art, theater and philanthropy.

A special launch party will be held at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse on Wednesday, July 1, from 4 to 8 pm, where guests can view and purchase New Hampshire-inspired watercolor artwork. The exhibit will remain on display at the theater through the end of July, with artwork available for viewing during performances and select hours throughout the month.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this year’s collection with the Lakes Region community,” Bard said. “Each piece reflects a deep appreciation for the natural beauty around us, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that work help support organizations that bring creativity and meaningful programming to our neighbors.”

“Hosting Paintings for a Purpose at the Playhouse offers a unique way to connect audiences with both visual and performing arts,” Lesley Pankhurst, founder and patron and company services director for The Winnipesaukee Playhouse and Paintings for a Purpose board member, said. “We are proud to be part of an event that not only celebrates artistic expression but also contributes to programs that make a lasting difference in people’s lives.”

All artwork is generously donated by Bard, with proceeds from the event benefiting the Winnipesaukee Playhouse and the Circle Program, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young people through experiential learning, leadership development and community engagement opportunities.

Meredith Village Savings Bank returns as presenting sponsor of the event, joined by Moulton Farm, Meredith Frame Shop, and Minuteman Press North Conway as supporting sponsors.

In addition to original paintings, visitors can purchase high-quality prints, note cards, and request commissioned artwork. Select pieces are also available for preview or purchase online at paintingsforapurpose.org

The art show is open to the public at no charge. Tickets are required for theater performances. Go to winnipesaukeeplayhouse.org for more information or to purchase tickets.
