Nancy Thurrell of Meredith and Maureen Nix of Gilford, representing Lakes Region Triathlon Club and Team USA, recently raced the 2023 World Triathalon Aquabike Championships in PonteVedra, Spain.
The Olympic distance Aquabike is a 1.5k swim, a transition run to the bicycle and a 40k bike ride.Â
Thurrell finished third in her age group and Nix placed fifth.
