BRISTOL ― The Town of Bristol voted at its March Town Meeting to implement the C-PACER program (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy and Resilience), a financing tool designed to support energy efficiency, renewable energy, water efficiency, and resiliency improvements in commercial properties.
The public is invited to learn more at a Public Information Session on Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. at the Minot-Sleeper Library, located at 35 Pleasant St.
C-PACER enables commercial property owners to finance qualifying improvements through a long-term, property-based financing mechanism. Financing may cover up to 35% of a property’s appraised value and can include a broad range of project costs, such as equipment, materials, labor, audits, feasibility studies, and performance verification.
The C-PACER program has the potential to advance high-performance building projects in Bristol, supporting local job creation while enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of local businesses.
The Bristol Energy Committee is a volunteer advisory group committed to advancing energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience initiatives within the Town of Bristol. The committee works collaboratively with town officials, local businesses, and residents to promote cost-effective energy solutions, reduce environmental impact, and support long-term economic vitality. Through education, policy development, and program implementation, the committee seeks to position Bristol as a forward-thinking and energy-conscious community.
