LACONIA — Spring is around the corner, and it’s time to dust off the gloves and register children for the 2024 Laconia Little League season.
Laconia Little League offers multiple divisions for ages 5-12 and up, born on or before Aug. 30, 2019.
There are four divisions of play to match players’ age and ability, such as t-ball, coach pitch, minors and majors.
There is a minimum of eight games and one practice per week for t-ball, and up to 17 games and two practices per week for majors. Young people learn from experienced volunteers committed to growing baseball in the Lakes Region.
At the minor and major levels, there is also inter-league play with other districts.
Minor players, age 7 and 8, must attend at least one evaluation to be considered. Evaluations will be held Sundays, March 17 and 24, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Laconia Middle School Gym. Evaluations for major players, ages 9 to 12, are the same days from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
A mandatory meeting will be held Wednesday, April 10, 6-7 p.m., at Laconia Middle School Gym to pick up fundraising materials and meet coaches and teammates.
Opening day is Saturday, April 20, at 8 a.m., at Laconia Courthouse. Rain day is Saturday, April 27, at 8 a.m. at the same location.
Registration is now open and closes March 24 for minors and majors and April 10 for t-ball and coach pitch. Register at go.teamsnap.com/forms/410651.
