WOLFEBORO — Recently, Charlie Moore filmed Charlie Moore Outdoors at the New Hampshire Boat Museum, an occasion that marked the second time “The Mad Fisherman” has worked with the nonprofit in 2021.
“He hosted our virtual Ice-Out event in April, which helped raise money for the museum and helped kick off our year,” said NHBM Executive Director Martha Cummings. “We really appreciate him sharing his spotlight with us.”
Eleven-time Emmy award winning TV host, Moore also hosts the nationally syndicated TV series, “No Offense” and “Bruins Academy,” and he is creator, writer, and executive producer of “Behind the B” with the Boston Bruins.
“We are not entirely sure when our episode of Charlie Moore Outdoors will air on TV, but according to Charlie, it will be some time later this fall or early winter,” added Cummings.
The next lecture, which is free, takes place on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. and will feature author Daniel Boyne, who will discuss his book, The Red Rose Crew. The book chronicles the first camp-based US women’s eight selection, under Harvard men’s coach Harry Parker, and their surprising run to a silver medal at the 1975 World Championships in Nottingham, England.
“Daniel will discuss highlights from the book and share his perspectives on how the Red Rose crew changed the sport for all women,” noted Cummings.
The lecture program was made possible with support from New Hampshire Humanities in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Red Rose Crew can be purchased at the NHBM’s gift shop.
