GILMANTON — A special service focused on the life and ministry of Rev. Isaac Smith will be held on Saturday, June 17, at 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Society in Gilmanton, commonly known as Smith Meeting House.

This biographical message will be delivered in the colonial style by pastor Nate Pickowicz of Harvest Bible Church in Gilmanton. There will be musical selections from the time period of Smith's ministry.

Smith Meeting House was the first church established in Gilmanton in 1774 and later named in honor of Rev. Smith's 43-year career as the first ordained minister. The building is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.

The general public is welcome to attend. Follow directions to 451 Meeting House Road and turn on the driveway closest to the church and outbuildings. From the intersection of Route 107 and 140, go east approximately 3.5 miles. Look for the sign for Meeting House Road. Following the service, guests are invited to stay for fellowship and light refreshments.
