Wolfeboro — Mark the calendars. It's time again for the Ladies of the Lakes Quilters' Guild Annual Quilt Sale and Exhibit to be held on Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Wolfeboro. The hours on Friday are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Along with the Quilt Sale, held in the church's undercroft, there will be a Quilt Exhibit in the sanctuary of the church. The display of quilts, all handcrafted by LLQG members, draped on the pews, is a sight not soon forgotten.
Quilts for sale range in sizes from baby to king-sized. Also available will be place mats, table runners and a large selection of other handmade goodies, all made by the talented members of the Guild.
If you ever wanted a handmade quilt for a special gift or for your home, "home away from home" or new baby, please stop in and support local crafters and the Guild. Twenty percent of sales benefit the Guild's charitable causes — David's House, Carroll County Advocacy, Comfort Quilts, etc.
For this year, the guild is raffling off a new Brother Computerized Sewing Machine. It includes a LCD display with easy stitch selector, one-step advanced needle threading system and other features. The prize also includes basic quilting accessories.
Park behind the church and enter from the lower entrance. Check out LLQG.net for more information.
