BRISTOL ― As the summer soldiers on and the return to school approaches fast, the Tapply-Thompson Community Center wants to remind the community that Saturday, Aug. 29, is their Annual Lobster & Chicken Dinner Fundraiser. This time-honored classic brings the best from every corner of the community. Last year they had one of the largest turnouts we have ever had, so it's encouraged get tickets early.
This is an opportunity to support a local community center while also enjoying a surf and turf dinner, cool music, and community camaraderie that not enough can be said about. Whenever TTCC has asked for support, the community has answered the call.
The Lobster & Chicken Dinner will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will be located at Kelley Park (at the TTCC in case of inclement weather).
The menu includes lobster and chicken plates, or a combo, as well as as a kid's hot dog meal. All meals include coleslaw, corn on the cob, a roll, potato, homemade desserts and refreshments.
