LACONIA — Longtime Realtor Steve Weeks, Sr. will offer a presentation on "Adventures in Laconia Real Estate," highlighting decades of experiences as a Realtor and a real estate broker in Laconia and Gilford. The presentation will be held in the Laconia Rotary Auditorium at the Laconia Public Library on Tuesday, June 4, at 6 p.m. This presentation is part of the Laconia Historical & Museum Society’s program Our Yesterdays 2024 Presentation Series.

Weeks started working as an associate in his father's office, Belknap Agency, in 1960 before venturing out on his own. He merged with Pike Realty in 1975 and co-founded the Lakes Region Multiple Listing Service. In 1980, he started Steve Weeks Realtors and later acquired Coldwell Banker franchises in 1986 and 1995.

Weeks' career has been marked by his involvement in numerous high-visibility transactions, some successful and others not. However, his direct involvement with Bonnette, Page & Stone in rehabilitating the Laconia Passenger Station and the Downtown Revitalization Program showcase his impact. The interior core parking lot he designed and promoted in the 1980s stands as a testament to his vision and the transformative power of his work.

With 45 years of experience in the Lakes Region real estate industry, Weeks is a seasoned professional who has witnessed and navigated various local real estate market fluctuations. During his presentation, he will provide insight into the ever-changing real estate market, allowing him to offer a comprehensive perspective on its evolution.
