HOLDERNESS — New Hampshire residents can enjoy $10 trail admission at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center on Sunday, Nov. 1, for New Hampshire Day. The Science Center will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving residents an opportunity to connect with New Hampshire’s native wildlife.
The event is part of Squam Lakes Natural Science Center’s 60th anniversary season. Founded in 1966, the Science Center has grown into a 200-acre campus featuring native wildlife, outdoor exhibits, and educational experiences. The special admission is an opportunity for the Science Center to give back to the community and encourage Granite State residents to experience the natural world close to home. Guests can walk the Live Animal Exhibit Trail, visit the Science Center’s animal ambassadors, and discover more about New Hampshire’s wildlife and ecology.
New Hampshire Electric Cooperative members receive free admission and must present a copy of their electric bill at admissions.
Tickets are available in one-hour entry blocks and must be purchased in advance. Guests must bring proof of New Hampshire residency. Up Close to Animals presentations will be offered at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m. The last trail admission is during the 2:30-3:30 p.m. entry window.
