HEBRON — Squam Lakes Association will be hosting a "Have You Zine This?" workshop on July 18, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Join Squam Lakes Association for a creative and impactful art workshop on nature related zines. Zines are self published booklets informing their audience about a unique subculture or idea in a creative, imagery-driven format. Participants will be encouraged to explore a topic surrounding Squam or nature that they feel strongly about. Lakes Region Conservation Corps member Casey Meisel will help channel knowledge on this topic into a zine with an informative discussion on zines. Using group brainstorming and examples participants will be given art supplies and guidance in making their zine come to life.
This is a low stakes environment where creativity, community, and acceptance are valued over art skills. All ages are encouraged to join. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
