SANBORNTON — Christmas Cookie Walks are in the news. Sanbornton Historical Society is locally famous for theirs. Bake and bring cookies to Lane Tavern between 8 and 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Nina Gardner and Tim Cline await your goodies. Plan to put some of that "hometown feel" in your Christmas shopping, too. Visit from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Invite friends and family to come and see real Sanbornton in action. Purchase locally-made crafts like Ober's famous "kissing ball" greens creations, Jackie Bonafide's photo cards of "here," Christmas ornaments not the same as those in stores, choice antiques of wrappable size, maple syrup and maple candy, knitted-wear, other crafted items. Support local artisans. SHS runs a gift shop year-round, open that day with old and new items, downstairs and upstairs. Hot cider and coffee. Saturday, Dec. 3 is the society's second day of wreaths-pick up across the street. Saturday, Nov. 26 is the society's first day for that. They order a few extra wreaths if you forgot to order.
Lane Tavern is located at 520 Sanborn Road.
