BRISTOL — Registration is open for fall sports and afterschool programs through the Tapply-Thompson Community Center.

Afterschool adventures program begins Tuesday, Sept. 2, for kindergarten through 12th grade and runs until 5:30 p.m. Open to students in the Newfound Area School District, this program includes structured activities, free play, and daily snacks. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Youth soccer is available for age 3 through 6th grade. The season runs Saturday, Sept. 6, through Saturday, Oct. 25. Participants will be in four categories based on age. Volunteer coaches are needed.

For those interested in field hockey, there will be three age groups starting with kindergarten and going through 6th grade. The season begins Saturday, Sept. 6. This program includes games and practices throughout the fall. Players need cleats, shin guards, and a stick. Reversible jerseys are provided. Black sports skirts or shorts are recommended but not required.

There will also be a program focused on youth baseball development program for the upcoming spring season. It is open to players league age 9-12 for the 2026 season. Fall Ball is a low-pressure, in-house program focused on skill development, game concepts, and confidence-building. It is ideal for those moving into minors or majors next spring. Flexibility is encouraged — players can join late or miss sessions if needed. There will be Thursday night skill lessons and scrimmages on Saturdays.
