LACONIA — GOT LUNCH! Laconia is beginning its 13th season. This is a summer lunch program delivering food directly to the child’s home each week. Although the target population is those families who qualify for "free and reduced" lunches at the school, it is not a requirement for participation. This community-wide effort is for all students registered in the Laconia school district whether public, private or home schooled. If you need help feeding your children/child this summer, this program is designed for you. GOT LUNCH! Laconia does not want any child to go hungry.
Each year a new registration is required even if you received food in previous years. Register online at gotlunchlaconia.org. (No paper forms or verbal registrations.) Deliveries will begin on Monday, June 26, and go for 10 weeks until Aug. 28. June 19 is the deadline to receive the first delivery on June 26. You may continue to register at any time throughout the summer, but new registrations close one week before each delivery date to enable drop-off routes to be developed.
A week’s worth of healthy lunch groceries will be delivered to your home every Monday morning during the school summer vacation.
