LACONIA — "One Night of Queen" comes to the Colonial Theatre on Wednesday, April 6, at 8 p.m. With Gary Mullen as Freddie Mercury, and Davie Brocket portraying guitarist Brian May, "One Night of Queen" is a hands-in-the-air sing-along that brings Queen’s magic to a 21st century audience.

Since 2002, Gary Mullen and the Works have performed One Night of Queen throughout the U.K., U.S., Europe, South Africa and New Zealand to sell-out audiences, recreating the sound and spirit, the pomp and showmanship, of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon's greatest hits.

Crowds can sing and dance to mega-hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” “Another One Bites The Dust,” “Somebody to Love,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and “We Are The Champions.”

In 2000, Mullen performed as Freddie Mercury on the British talent show Stars in Their Eyes, winning by a landslide. One Night of Queen debuted in 2002, and soon after, Mullen was invited to a Queen and Paul Rodgers concert, where he met the legendary group backstage after the show — an experience that he says left him speechless.
