WOLFEBORO — New Hampshire Boat Museum will offer an exhibit of work by Kim Bartenhagen in August, as she's been named featured artist of the month.

A resident of Brookfield, Bartenhagen said she is often inspired by found, salvaged, antique and organic materials. “It is important for me to mix a lot of textures, materials and colors,” she said. “I tend to gravitate towards colors in nature.”

Noting she has a theme in mind for some of her work, she said ideas, at other times, “come from out of the blue.” “My ideas happen when I am surrounded by objects, such as antiques, old books, nature, fabric and good junk,” added Bartenhagen, whose work is available for purchase at Zen Glow Wellness in Wolfeboro.
