GILFORD — For as long as human beings have existed, there has been violence against one another. Plumbing the depths of that madness is an endeavor many have devoted much time to.
For a glimpse at this process, join the Gilford Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 5:30 p.m. for "Murder and Mayhem: True Crime in New Hampshire 1883-1915." Milli Knudsen, veteran author and genealogist, will take attendees back in time to some of the crimes that have scored the granite upon which the state is built. It will be a delightful jaunt into the past, and some of the dastardly events therein.
