GILFORD — Miss New Hampshire and Miss New Hampshire’s Teen 2025 competitions start Tuesday, April 29, and run through Saturday, May 3.

The Miss Lakes Region Scholarship Program and the Miss Lilac State Scholarship Program of Gilford are part of the larger Miss New Hampshire and Miss America Organizations, known for their long-standing dedication to promoting education, public speaking skills, and community service among young women.

Each contestant is required to create and execute a community service project that aligns with her passions and reflects her commitment to making a difference. Judging criteria includes not only performance and presentation but also the depth of the contestants’ community service initiatives.

Lakes Region competitors include: Miss Lilac State 2025 Xanthi Russell advocates for the 4-H Program and the four pillars of the Miss America Organization; Anna Sargent, the reigning Miss Lakes Region 2025, emphasizes “Beating Addiction through Connection: creating safe space for people in recovery; Miss Lilac State’s Teen Molly Kerrigan’s focus is on youth and mental health importance; and Miss Lakes Region’s Teen Isabel Dwyer, after sustaining two head injuries while playing school sports, advocates for Stop the Collision: Awareness of Concussions.
