BRISTOL — The Trustees of Minot-Sleeper Library recently announced the appointment of Patty Hayward as its new director.

Hayward joins from the Hall Memorial Library in Northfield, where she served as the assistant director. Her dedication and commitment to fostering a love for reading and community engagement make her a standout in the library field.

She is currently in the final semester of her master's degree in library and information science, scheduled to graduate in December. She also holds an undergraduate degree from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.

Hayward and her husband Steve, who she's been married to for 28 years, and her younger son, Dan, live in Tamworth Village. Her older son, Sean, is a high school history teacher in Orlando, Florida.

Hayward's interests extend well beyond the world of books. When she's not immersed in the literary realm, you'll find her hiking the scenic trails of New Hampshire, whipping up delectable dishes in the kitchen, exploring art museums or taking on house renovation projects alongside her husband.

Adding to the charm of their household, Hayward and her family have opened their hearts to two cats and a dog, all of which are rescue animals.
