TILTON — Tilton School has named Michael Giovanditto as the new head coach of the varsity baseball program for the 2026-27 academic year, marking a major step in reinvigorating the Rams' program.

A former All-State player from New Hampshire who earned tryouts with the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Giovanditto brings extensive experience across collegiate, high school, travel, and youth levels. He joins Tilton after five transformative years at Gilford High School, where he engineered a dramatic program turnaround — leading the team from a winless season in 2021 to 53 total victories and consecutive playoff appearances.

Additionally, Giovanditto is the founder and president of the NH Nighthawks AAU travel program, an assistant state commissioner for NH Cal Ripken, and a 14-year veteran of Gilford Youth Baseball.

"We are extremely excited to have Coach Giovanditto join the Tilton community," said Phil LaCasse, director of athletics at Tilton School. "He has a proven track record of building programs and leaving teams better than he found them. His approach to holistic adolescent development aligns seamlessly with our goals of preparing students to thrive on and off the field."

For Giovanditto, leading the Rams fulfills a lifelong dream of restoring a storied legacy.

"I'm excited to take over a team I grew up watching," said Giovanditto. "My goal is to bring that excitement back with energy, discipline, and fundamentals, instilling confidence and creating player improvement 1% at a time."
