PLYMOUTH — The Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra will host its season-opening concert “Dance the Night Away” on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. at Hanaway Theatre at Plymouth State University.

This concert features double-header soloists, trombonist Jared Staub, director of bands and assistant director of instrumental studies at PSU, performing a 1995 work by Eric Ewazen Concerto for Bass Trombone; and 2022 student concerto competition winner Sean Jang, performing the first movement of the Violin Concerto in D minor by Jean Sibelius.

LRSO will also return to the Colonial Theatre in Laconia for a holiday pops performance on Saturday, Dec. 10, and Sunday, Dec. 11, at Inter-Lakes Auditorium in Meredith.

The "Haydn Seek" performance on March 25, 2023, will feature LRSO's principal cellist Kari Jukka-Pekka.

“Gershwin Blue” is the theme for the season-ending pops concerts May 13-14, 2023, at Inter-Lakes Auditorium. Featured will be LRSO's pianist Chris Mega.
