LACONIA — Irwin Automotive Group is partnering with Toys for Tots to make the holiday season brighter for underprivileged children in the Lakes Region. The community can donate new, unwrapped toys at the Irwin dealership. Every gift contributed helps ensure every child experiences the magic of the holiday season, regardless of their circumstances. Â
Toys for Tots, a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, has been delivering hope since 1947. It began when Marine Major Bill Hendricks and his wife, Diane, organized a toy drive for children in their Los Angeles community. Their effort quickly grew into a national movement, and since its inception, Toys for Tots has distributed over 627 million toys to children in need. Â
