MEREDITH — Twenty-four Inter-Lakes Middle High School students participated in the 52nd NH Future Business Leaders of America Annual State Leadership Conference,  competing in 15 different categories.

Students taking top honors in their categories and qualifying for the national competition in Anaheim, California, included: Chris Boksanske, Tyler Coleman and Hayden Brunell in sales presentation; Thea Wright in economics; Aiden Price in financial math; Sumner Mills in networking design; and Kiernan Donnelly and Landon Ambrose in introduction to event planning. Also qualifying for the national competition with second and third place finishes are Garrett Hayward in agribusiness and Tagel Ort in advertising. 

During the conference, students attended a presentation by “Noble Sheep,” a youth leadership initiative based in Florida. Students attended workshops on topics such as: preparing for college admissions, becoming a better leader, and exploring career opportunities. In the evening, FBLA members were treated to a private performance from Recycled Percussion, a NH-based band.

The ILMHS Future Business Leaders of America Chapter is on track to earn the prestigious “Champion Chapter - Gold” recognition from the National Chapter for the 2024-25 school year. Champion Chapter - Gold represents the pinnacle of achievement and highest honor a school can attain.
