GILFORD — The Gilford Parks and Recreation Department is holding a socially-distanced, Halloween drive-thru program for children through sixth grade. Virtual contents will be held ahead of time with a deadline of Wednesday, Oct. 28, and the drive-thru event will be held Friday, Oct. 30, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at Gilford Town Hall.

Virtual contests include a costume contest, coloring contest and jack-o-lantern contest. During the drive-thru event, costumes and car decorations are welcome. Families will be directed through the Gilford Town Hall parking lot for goodie bags and prizes for the virtual contests. Goodie bags for 250 children will be available. Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles.
