FRANKLIN — Franklin Savings Bank recently opened applications for its 48th round of Fund for Community Advancement grants.
The Fund for Community Advancement offers support to a broad range of nonprofit community activities including economic development, affordable housing, education, health care, social services, environment, arts and humanities and human services. It has also helped programs and services focused on addressing the needs of children, adolescents and single parent families.
Areas served by the fund include Gilford, Franklin, Tilton, Bristol, Boscawen, Goffstown and Merrimack. The fund may also provide support for projects in other surrounding communities.
Since establishing the fund in 1997, the bank has awarded 259 grants totaling over $1.19 million to community organizations and agencies.
