WOLFEBORO — The Fiske Family Foundation announced a series of gifts totaling more than $41,000 for seven Wolfeboro area and Lake Winnipesaukee area non-profit organizations. In line with the Fiske Family Foundation’s mission, the gifts are intended to support education and recreation for all. This month alone, the Foundation gifted a total of $35,000 which has been designated for six Wolfeboro area organizations. For the year, the Fiske Family Foundation has gifted more than $85,000 in philanthropic donations. The $35,000 will be distributed to the local organizations. Gifts of $5,000 each were given to the Friends of Wolfeboro Public Library and the Friends of the Libby Museum to support the children’s library and museum restoration. The Maker’s Mill received $10,000 for the construction of their new building in Wolfeboro. Donations of $5,000 each were made to the Lake Winnipesaukee Association to support conservation for recreation and to The Nick, to support a new ninja obstacle course. A gift of $5,000 was provided to the Governor Wentworth Area Volunteer Co-Op to address sheltering and homelessness in the community. In July 2021, the Foundation donated $6,620 to The Children’s Center in Wolfeboro.
“Courtney and I are honored and grateful for the opportunity to support the organizations that already work hard to create and deliver programs that support education and recreation for all,” said John Fiske, founder, Fiske Family Foundation. “We are proud to support the greater Wolfeboro community, including specifically children and families.” For more information visit the website.
