MEREDITH — The Community Garden Club of Meredith will host its May meeting on Thursday, May 15, 1-3 p.m. at the Meredith Public Library.Â
Bree Rossiter from the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance will present on what actions are being taken to ensure the future health of the lake and the community’s continued enjoyment.
As conservation program manager, Rossiter is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing both new and existing programs that support LWA’s mission. She leads water quality and cyanobacteria monitoring efforts, oversees the Winni Blue/LakeSmart program, and coordinates several critical nutrient mitigation projects.Â
Rossiter also participates in the NH LAKES Advocacy Committee to help track legislation impacting lake health, and she serves as an appointed member of the Wolfeboro Waters Committee, the Meredith Cyanobacteria Committee, and the Moultonborough Cyanobacteria Committee. Her experience includes prior work with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Rossiter holds a bachelor’s of science in environmental science and policy with a minor in sustainability from Plymouth State University. A resident of Gilford, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time on the lake.Â
