LACONIA — Stand-up comedy returns to the VFW on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m., with a show starring three Boston area favorites in Kyle Crawford, Mike Prior and Kennedy Richard.
Crawford is a New England headliner who regularly works in Las Vegas, at Laugh Boston, Giggles, and Foxwoods, and has been seen on Comcast Comedy Spotlight. Prior has been seen on Comedy Central and MTV Comedy, as well a national tour. Richard regularly opens for Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke and other top names.
“We are hoping to build our following at the VFW,” said Michael Smith of Laugh Riot Comedy, who booked comedy shows at Pitman’s Freight Room for nine years before it closed. “We have succeeded in bringing some of our Pitman’s people over to the VFW and we have added some new followers, but we are hoping to bring more of our regular Pitman’s people to the VFW."
