LACONIA ― Climate Café Lakes Region will explore how plastics are affecting the environment and public health at its Thursday, June 18, monthly community gathering at the The Laconia Public Library from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Susan Richman, a founding member of NH Network and a leader in its Plastics Working Group, will present information about the health, economic and environmental impacts of the plastics we use and consume in our daily lives. Among her many accomplishments Richman has been successful in urging the town of Durham to ban municipal procurement of single use plastics. She is an active member of the Citizens Climate Lobby.
Climate Café gatherings are informal and nonpartisan opportunities for conversation about the environment. They are welcoming, locally-focused and free to all comers. There is no membership or commitment required.
