LACONIA — One of the newest Community Challenge fundraising teams, Island151, is selling tickets for a Laconia Motorcycle Week raffle in honor of the 99th anniversary of Bike Week, with all proceeds going toward the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction.
“The lucky winner will get all kinds of Bike Week swag,” said Island151 co-captain Anne Jalbert, “including an official 2022 Laconia Motorcycle Week t-shirt, patch, and pin, a copy of the book Images of America: Laconia Motorcycle Week, and a Laconia Rotary Club 'Win a Harley' Raffle Ticket.”
Tickets are $5 each and the winner’s name will be drawn at noon on Sunday, June 19. “We’ll be selling tickets at the Official Motorcycle Week tent on Lakeside Avenue at Weirs Beach,” Kathy Frassica, Island151’s other co-captain.
Team Island151 is a collaboration between Lake and Island Properties LLC in Meredith, Studio 151 on Elm Street in Lakeport, plus family, friends, and supporters of Laconia Motorcycle Week.
“We’re psyched to be part of the Community Challenge,” said Jalbert. “We love getting to know people from other teams at the weekly shuffles at Patrick's Pub, and we’re looking forward to donating some big ticket items to the Children's Auction this December.”
Island151 has already committed to donating a week’s stay at Proctor’s Condo Association on Lake Winnipesaukee, a month-long membership to Studio 151 Fitness, and gift cards to Extreme Clean Car Wash in Meredith.
“We’re looking for new team members too,” said Frassica, “so if you love Bike Week, the Lakes Region, and helping the kids of our community, please contact us!”
