LACONIA — Laconia Public Library invites readers to catch the tail-end of their dino-tastic Summer Reading Program and 'Unearth A Story' before back-to-school business takes over. The start of August hails the end of Summer Reading, but not before a few more delightful programs and prize drawings.
Catch a Summer Reading Program before they're over.
Swing by for the last Summer Storytime at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and squeeze in a craft or two around them. There is Dino Zen Gardens for kids on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m., and an All-Youth Glow Day on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., full of fluorescent colors and slime for kids and teens. Finally, we’ll top it off with a groovy Move & Groove dance party for kids on Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m.
Readers of all ages, don't forget to turn in your reading logs by Saturday, Aug. 8, if you want a chance to win one of our raffles. Kids age 0-12 could win a variety of art and science kits, or a summery Lego set. For teens grade 4-12, we'll have a grand prize drawing for a $50 Sal's Pizza gift certificate, plus extra prizes for top readers. Arts & crafts kits, LEGO kits, journals, Bluetooth earbuds, and more. As for adults, our retro-style 'Read-It' will end with a raffle for a free personal pizza.
