MEREDITH — During the month of October all are invited to visit Meredith to experience the annual Scarecrow Stroll and Business Contest, sponsored by the Greater Meredith Program’s promotion committee.
This year, 32 local businesses participated with displays that range from cute to clever and even scary. There is still time to cast your ballot for the “People’s Choice Award” trophy winner, and also for a chance to win the "Cauldron of Goodies" valued at over $400. Ballots may be found and submitted at each participating business. You can leave them with the business or drop them by Hermit Woods Winery & Deli, 72 Main St. You can simply place your ballot in the box outside.
New this year is an online map with photos: bit.ly/3suhQ1P. You can also vote online at greatermeredith.org/promotion.
In addition to the “People’s Choice Award,” our panel of five esteemed judges will be voting on the winning scarecrow displays in a range of categories including funniest, most creative, best business-themed and scariest. Winners in all contest categories will be determined and notified on Nov. 3.
