Emerson College student Bee LaClair of Plymouth, earned a Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies Award in spring 2025 at the end of the academic year, recognizing students for their achievements during a ceremony. LaClair, who is majoring in interdisciplinary studies and is a member of the class of 2026, earned the Ellen McCulloch-Lovell Prize for writing across genres.

Almost 1,200 undergraduate students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute completed a senior capstone thesis that is required of all graduating seniors as part of the university’s distinctive project-based educational experience. These are professional-level research experiences in the students’ fields of study. Aidan Eldridge, of Laconia, is majoring in industrial engineering and completed a project titled “Saint-Gobain Abrasives: Optimizing LDCO Finishing Process;” Greta Achenbach, of Meredith, is majoring in biology and biotechnology, completed a project titled “Behavioral Investigation of Freshwater Crayfish;” and Quinn Shanahan, of Gilford, is majoring in mechanical engineering completed a project titled “Battlebots for NHRL Competition.”
