WOLFEBORO — Have something broken that deserves another chance? Repair Café returns to Makers Mill on Sunday, Aug. 30, from 1 to 4 p.m., bringing community members together with volunteer fixers who share their skills and help give everyday items another life.

Visitors can bring clothing, electronics, small appliances, bicycles, furniture and other items in need of repair. Volunteers will offer free repair help and advice and, when possible, show participants how to make repairs themselves.

Repair Café is part of a worldwide movement built around a simple idea: repair instead of replace. It’s a chance to reduce waste, learn practical skills, connect with neighbors and share the know-how that exists right here in our community.

Participants are asked to bring one item at a time, along with any parts or materials that may be needed. Advance registration is encouraged so volunteers know what kinds of repairs to expect.

Repair Café takes place at Makers Mill, 23 Bay St., in Wolfeboro.

Learn more and register at makersmill.org/repaircafe.

Have some fixing skills? Repair Café depends on community members willing to share what they know. To learn more about volunteering at Makers Mill, visit makersmill.org/volunteer.
