MEREDITH  Advantage Kids Tennis and Learning held their sixth annual state tournament on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Prescott Park in Meredith. Nineteen players from nine towns came together for an opening round robin singles and doubles competition.

Eight top scorers advanced to the elimination round. Elsa King of Meredith was the singles champion. David Brooks and Jordan Ndanga of Gilford won the doubles crown. Alden Macomber and Eamon McAlary of Conway were the doubles finalists. Also representing the Lakes Region were Sophia Torres and Lucie King.

Advantage Kids utilize public courts in Moultonborough, Meredith, Laconia, Gilford and Tilton. As a USTA approved National Junior Tennis and Learning program, all sessions meet high standards for activities, instruction and leadership.

All players have participated in free Advantage Kids programs across the state this summer thanks to individual donations and grant funding. Advantage Kids has served hundreds of children with free instruction, games and learning activities year round for the past ten years.
