GILFORD — The Gilford Public Library has announced two new additions to its community resources. Thanks to the generous support of The Friends of the Gilford Public Library, the library has purchased two ZenBooth office pods for patron use. These reservable, soundproofed pods are designed for use as personal offices away from home, with an adjustable chair and desk, dimmable lighting and a quiet environment to work.
Over the years, staff noticed a need in the library community for quiet spaces to meet, do work or take phone or Zoom calls. While researching office pods, the ZenBooth stood out due to their design elements, wheelchair accessibility and impressive soundproofing.
The library is grateful to The Friends of the Gilford Public Library for its purchase of the units. Adult patrons can reserve the ZenBooth Solo or the ZenBooth Duo for up to two hours at a time. ZenBooths are located on the main floor of the Gilford Library, in the back corner by the audiobooks.Â
