McCABE

CONCORD — The Concord Group Insurance Companies announces the appointment of Daniel L. McCabe as president and chief executive officer.

Most recently, McCabe served as senior vice-president and chief operating officer. He had joined the company in early 2017, and brings a wide range of experience from a career of more than 20 years in the insurance industry, with senior leadership positions in underwriting, product development, marketing and operations at Chubb, Travelers, The Hanover, MAPFRE (formerly Commerce Insurance) and Lexington Insurance.

McCabe is a native of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, attended Proctor Academy preparatory school, and graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, with a bachelor of arts degree before entering the Insurance Industry.

The board of directors are confident that he will successfully manage the company’s affiliation with Auto-Owners Insurance, and effectively lead organizational expansion efforts throughout New England in both the personal lines and small to mid-sized commercial lines disciplines.

“I am excited to be given this opportunity with the Concord Group at such a significant time in the company’s history," McCabe said. "I believe strongly in the value and importance of the independent insurance agent to both consumers and local communities, and am proud to lead a company with over 90 years of commitment to such. I look forward to working with Auto-Owners Insurance to develop our capabilities and product offerings, and substantially expand our presence with independent agents throughout New England.”
