LACONIA — For the first time, the How I Built This speaker series at WORK Lakes Region will be broadcast live by 103.3 The Moose (WHNM 1350 AM), Laconia's classic hits station, from 51 Elm St., during the Wednesday, June 10 event.
The session features Cole Glaude, founder of Social Club Creamery, also a 51 Elm business owner, presenting "The Obstacle Is the Opportunity: Building a Business on Creative Problem-Solving."
The event is free and open to the public. Lunch is included. Seating is limited to 25.
What launched as a local speaker series, in 2025, has grown into a recurring business event, drawing entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and community members from across New Hampshire.
The May session, led by Craig and Kristin Jordan of The Village Store in Gilford, drew a full house and sparked candid conversation about mentorship, workplace culture, and the value of investing in young employees early.
Glaude's talk will pull back the curtain on that process: what it actually takes to stand out in a crowded market, how to keep growing without losing what made people care in the first place, and what creative problem-solving looks like when the stakes are real.
The event is from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at WORK Lakes Region. To register, visit worklakesregion.com/hibt-speakers#social.
