LACONIA — Bank of New Hampshire recently appointed Michael J. Long as chair and Susannah Chance as vice chair of its board of directors.
Long, a lifelong New Hampshire resident and leader in the banking industry, brings a wealth of experience and a history of community dedication to his role as board chair. A former president and chief executive officer of BNH, Long also co-founded and led Community Guaranty Savings Bank as its president and CEO. Since becoming a director of BNH in 2016 and a trustee of BNH Financial the same year, Long has played a pivotal role in guiding the bank’s strategic direction.
Chance has been a BNH director since 2023 and a trustee of BNH Financial since the same year. She currently serves as the senior vice president of human resources at Work Opportunities Unlimited, Inc., where she oversees the company’s human resources operations across seven states. In addition to her professional expertise, Chance holds leadership roles such as chair of the NH/Health Care/Workforce Development Policy Committee, chair of the NH Workers’ Compensation Classification and Rating Appeals Board, executive board director of the Business & Industry Association for New Hampshire and president of the Gilmanton Iron Works Library Association.
“As we enter 2025, we are excited to welcome Mike and Susannah into their new leadership roles,” said President and CEO Chris Logan. “Mike’s deep understanding of banking and his unwavering dedication to New Hampshire’s communities, paired with Susannah’s expertise in workforce development and passion for serving others, will ensure that our Board of Directors continues to support Bank of New Hampshire’s mission to serve our customers and communities with excellence.”
