Annual Sweepstakes Social brings community together for local children

WEIRS BEACH — The annual Sweepstakes Social returns to the M/S Mount Washington from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 18, bringing community members together for an evening of entertainment and support for the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund. The popular event has become a local tradition, helping provide resources and opportunities for children and families throughout the region.

Meredith Village Savings Bank is an event sponsor.

“We’re thrilled to see the Sweepstakes Social become a cherished tradition, bringing people together for a night of celebration and generosity,” said Jennifer Beetle, Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund volunteer and 2026 Pub Mania chair. “Every ticket purchased helps us make a real difference for local children and the organizations that support them. The Sweepstakes Social is a special opportunity for our community to come together in support of that mission.”

Held dockside aboard The Mount, the Sweepstakes Social features music, light appetizers, and dancing. The event is part of the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and support for programs and services that benefit children throughout the area.

Only 300 tickets will be sold for the event. Each ticket includes admission for two people, one entry, light appetizers, music, dancing, and a cash bar.
