Astronomers have captured a striking image of two galaxies locked in a cosmic dance that resembles a bird in flight.
The Hubble Space Telescope photographed the pair, known as ESO 593-8, located around 650 million light-years away in the constellation of Sagittarius, the Archer.
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center said Thursday (Jan 29): "Birds of a feather.

Hubble captured a pair of interacting galaxies that looks like a bird in flight! Astronomers believe these two galaxies will someday merge into a single galaxy."
Social media users were impressed.
Jill Bill commented on Facebook: "Beautiful. The never ending possibilities are astonishing," while Michelle Lee Cogan posted: "My goodness it looks like a dove."
